Testopius
Founder Story

Why I built Testopius

7+ years in enterprise QA, 40+ audits, and the moment a founder messaged me for the first time.

The start — people don't know how testing works

I studied Electrical & Electronics Engineering at Boğaziçi University. Test engineering wasn't on my radar. Then I took my first real job on the QA team of a cybersecurity product — and I learned something fast: the most expensive bugs aren't from bad code. They come from teams not talking to each other.

Over 7+ years I tested fintech, digital identity, 2FA, and mobile super apps. Robot Framework, Appium, Playwright, MCP servers, AI agents. But the real lesson wasn't the tools: good QA isn't a skill, it's a reflex.

The moment I saw the gap

A friend was about to launch his SaaS. He said: 'I need a few eyes on it before launch, but I don't know anyone. Agencies want $10k retainers. Fiverr feels random. What do I do?'

I spent an afternoon with his product. Found 3 critical bugs, one of which broke the entire payment flow. Written report, screen recordings, suggested fixes — 4 hours total. Launch delay avoided.

The next week I got the same message from three different founders. That's the moment I started Testopius.

What makes Testopius different

Most QA services are built around hourly rates or monthly retainers. Both are bad for founders — you're either negotiating time or committing to months of a service you don't need.

Testopius is three fixed packages: $250 Spot Check, $900 Full QA Audit, $1,500 Automation Starter. Each has clear scope and a fixed delivery date. You don't have to negotiate hours; I don't have to lock you in.

I keep my client count in single digits — so each founder gets my full attention. I don't want to grow into an agency. I want long-term trust.

What I'm working on now

My big 2026 bet: AI test agents automating the typing part of QA. I built a TestLink → MCP → Playwright pipeline for Lento Circle — zero manual scripting. Now I'm bringing the same pattern to Automation Starter clients.

Agents can do a lot. They also can't do a lot. The sweet spot — human thinks, agent types — is where I've seen the most value. Testopius is being built around that.

Want to work together?

Start with a small Spot Check. I'll turn around your product in 3 business days — bug list, screen recordings, suggested fixes. If you like how I work, we continue. If not, no commitment.
